Betting glossary A–Z
Short answer
Short definitions of the words used in 1xBet bonus terms and betting in general. The two that matter most: an accumulator combines several selections into one bet, and the wagering requirement is how much you must bet before a bonus can be withdrawn.
A
- Accumulator
- One bet that combines several selections; every selection must win. Also called an acca, parlay or express. 1xBet’s sports welcome bonus is wagered only on accumulators.
- Advancebet
- A 1xBet feature that lets you place a bet using an advance secured against your unsettled bets when your balance is empty.
B
- Bet insurance
- A paid option that refunds part or all of a stake if the insured bet loses.
- Bet slip
- The panel where you collect selections, enter a stake and place a bet. It has its own promo field for free-bet codes.
- Bonus balance
- A separate balance that holds bonus money until the wagering requirement is met.
- Both teams to score
- A market on whether each team scores at least one goal in a match (often written BTTS).
C

- Cashback
- A share of your stakes or losses returned to you over a period, often depending on a VIP level.
D
- Decimal odds
- Odds written as 1.40, 2.00 or 3.50. Stake × odds = total return including the stake.
- Deposit limit
- A cap you set on how much you can deposit per day, week or month — a key responsible gambling tool.
- Double chance
- A bet covering two of the three results in a match — for example home win or draw.
F
- Free bet
- A stake paid by the bookmaker. You usually keep only the winnings, not the stake itself.
- Free spins
- Slot spins paid for by the casino, usually on selected games and with their own wagering.
H
- Handicap
- A head start or deficit given to a team to even out a match. Asian handicaps can remove the draw.
K

- Betting on a match while it is being played, with odds that change as the game goes on.

- The lowest price a selection may have to count towards wagering, such as 1.40.
- Mobile money
- Payments from a phone wallet such as M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money or EcoCash.
O
- Odds boost
- A temporary increase in the odds offered on a selection or accumulator, such as Accumulator of the Day.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total of something — goals, points, runs — will be above or below a set line.
