1xBet in Bhutan: is it legal and does 1x_529930 work?

Legal status

Under the Penal Code of Bhutan 2004, gambling is a criminal offence (graded as a petty misdemeanour). The only exception is the authorised state lottery run by Bhutan Lottery Limited. No online betting licence exists, so betting with offshore sites such as 1xBet is not lawful. The Department of Law and Order and the Royal Monetary Authority have frozen bank accounts linked to online gambling, and officials have called for tougher penalties in a Penal Code amendment.

Because of this, 1x_529930 Bonus Desk does not promote 1xBet in Bhutan: there are no sign-up instructions or bonus offers for Bhutan on this site, and our partner link does not send visitors from Bhutan to 1xBet.

Sport and betting in Bhutan

Archery is the national sport, followed by football and cricket. Bhutanese media and officials have reported a rise in online gambling among young people, mostly through offshore sites and social media groups, which has led to calls for tougher penalties.

What this means for you

• Do not use VPNs or “mirror” sites to get around the law — accounts opened that way can be closed and winnings withheld, and you may break local law.
• You would have no local regulator to complain to if something went wrong.
• If betting is legal in your country, use operators licensed by your national regulator.

Help and support

If gambling is causing problems for you or someone close to you, free and confidential help is available:

• Gambling Therapy (free, online, many languages)
• Gamblers Anonymous
