1xBet bet insurance explained
Bet insurance lets you pay a fee to insure part or all of your stake on a bet. If the insured bet loses, 1xBet refunds the insured amount; if it wins, you keep the winnings but the fee is gone. The fee depends on the bet and the odds, so insurance always costs something.

How it works
- Place a bet (or open an existing unsettled bet in your history).
- Choose Insure bet and select how much of the stake to insure.
- Check the fee shown and confirm.
- If the bet loses, the insured amount is refunded. If it wins, you get your winnings and the fee is not returned.
Worked example
| Without insurance | With 100% insurance (fee โฌ2, illustrative) | |
|---|---|---|
| Stake | โฌ10 | โฌ10 + โฌ2 fee |
| Bet wins at 2.50 | You receive โฌ25 | You receive โฌ25 (cost โฌ12) |
| Bet loses | You lose โฌ10 | You get โฌ10 back (cost โฌ2) |
The fee in this example is for illustration. 1xBet shows the real fee before you confirm.
When it can make sense
| Situation | Worth considering? |
|---|---|
| A large single bet that would hurt your budget if lost | Maybe โ but a smaller stake is cheaper |
| Every bet you place | No โ fees add up |
| To keep betting after losses | No โ set a limit instead |
The honest view
Insurance does not change the odds of winning; it only changes what you lose when you lose. Because you pay a fee every time, insuring bets regularly costs more over time than it saves. The simplest way to reduce risk is to stake less.
Partial vs full insurance
You can often insure only part of a stake. Insuring 50% costs less than insuring 100%, and refunds only half the stake if the bet loses. The table shows the idea with illustrative fees.
| Insured share | Fee (illustrative) | Refund if the bet loses |
|---|---|---|
| 25% | โฌ0.50 | โฌ2.50 |
| 50% | โฌ1 | โฌ5 |
| 100% | โฌ2 | โฌ10 |
Insurance and the welcome bonus
Insurance fees are paid from your balance and are not bets, so they do not count towards wagering. If you are clearing the 1x_529930 sports bonus, every euro spent on insurance is a euro not spent on qualifying accumulators.
A simpler alternative
If a bet would hurt your budget when it loses, the cheapest form of insurance is a smaller stake. It costs nothing and reduces risk in exactly the same way.
Insuring accumulators
For accumulators, insurance fees are usually higher because the chance of losing is higher. Some versions let you insure only after some legs have already won. The offer and fee change as the bet progresses, so the price you see later may be very different from the price at the start. If the fee looks large, that is a sign the bet is risky โ consider a smaller stake next time instead.
Where to find it
Insurance appears as an option on eligible bets in your bet history (sometimes labelled โInsure betโ). If you do not see it, the bet or market is not eligible, or the feature is not offered in your country.

Can I insure a bet after placing it?
Often yes, from your bet history, while the bet is still unsettled.
Is the insurance fee refunded if my bet wins?
No. The fee is the price of the insurance and is kept whatever the result.
Can I insure live bets?
Sometimes. The option and the fee are shown in your bet history if available.
How much does 1xBet bet insurance cost?
The fee depends on the bet, the odds and how much you insure. It is shown before you confirm.
Can I insure an accumulator?
Often yes, where offered. The fee for accumulators is usually higher.
Does insurance make betting safer?
It reduces swings on one bet, but the fees add up. Over time it costs money rather than saving it.
