1xBet in Tokelau: is it legal and does 1x_529930 work?

Legal status

Tokelau is part of New Zealand; the rules below follow that legal framework.

Tokelau is a non-self-governing territory of New Zealand with its own General Fono making local rules. New Zealand Acts do not automatically extend there, and no source confirmed whether the Gambling Act 2003 or the 2025 TAB-only online betting rules apply to Tokelau. There is no local gambling regulator or licence, and 1xBet is not licensed. Because the parent country restricts online betting to TAB NZ and the territory's own position is unknown, this page treats it as restricted.

Because of this, 1x_529930 Bonus Desk does not promote 1xBet in Tokelau: there are no sign-up instructions or bonus offers for Tokelau on this site, and our partner link does not send visitors from Tokelau to 1xBet.

Sport and betting in Tokelau

Tokelau has about 1,500 residents on three atolls with no airport, reached only by boat from Samoa, and has no commercial betting market. Kilikiti, a Polynesian form of cricket, is played between village teams, and many Tokelauans in New Zealand follow the All Blacks and NRL.

What this means for you

• Do not use VPNs or “mirror” sites to get around the law — accounts opened that way can be closed and winnings withheld, and you may break local law.
• You would have no local regulator to complain to if something went wrong.
• If betting is legal in your country, use operators licensed by your national regulator.

Help and support

If gambling is causing problems for you or someone close to you, free and confidential help is available:

• Gambling Helpline Aotearoa
• Gambling Therapy (free, online, many languages)
